At work I have my students make Wordles all the time as a fun way to see new vocabulary words, or to brainstorm, or to see what word they are over-using. It recognizes words used more frequently and makes those visually bigger. It also takes out function words and prepositions so you are left with only verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and nouns. Today I noticed that you could but in blogs or urls to create a Wordle and I had to see what came up with mine. Here is the thumbnail that I was able to share.

Wordle: Painting Roses Red

Who knew I wrote about cheese that much? Ahhh I used the word again. So I made another Wordle, just to check the first’s accuracy and this is what I got:

Wordle: Painting Roses Red

Again the biggest word is the food made from the pressed curds of milk. I can’t use the name because apparently it is all I write about. I can’t even find QUILT or SEW (maybe if I capitalize them Wordle will find them better). Let’s see:

Wordle: Painting Roses Red

Nope. Darn, but I do really like Wordle so you should check it out. It is especially great for those in education.
