Heavenly Bacon Bites

My advice it to make these immediately. Don’t stop and think just go to the grocery store and buy Club crackers, bacon, and Parmesan cheese. That is all you need. GO!

Now get out a baking sheet and put a put a drying rack on top. Lay out your Club crackers on a piece of wax paper (helps with clean up).

lay out the crackers

Mound a spoonful of parmesan cheese on top of each cracker (do you understand the wax paper now?).

Cover in cheese

Cut your bacon strips in half. I used butcher bacon which may have added to the deliciousness.

Cut bacon in half

Wrap cheese and cracker in bacon attempting to cover all of the cracker. Make a mental note of the morsel in the top right.

All wrapped up

Bake at 250 degrees for about 2 hours. Enjoy heaven in your mouth.

All done

Remember the one I told you make a note of. Look at the top left corner and you can see what happens when you don’t wrap the whole cracker. Oops. It was still delicious.

One opened up. It was still delicious

Feww now that you experienced these, I should give credit to the Pioneer Woman where the recipe came from. This was not my idea, but apparently an idea from the 80s. Thanks 1980s.

I only got to sample half of a cracker, but it was very delicious! I also learned a good lesson: tardiness means that you lose your bacon covered food privileges.

I made these for my family’s big Christmas Eve party and they were gobbled up in a matter of minutes. My immediate family did not appreciate that I made the whole house smell like bacon, during the Giants game, but did not let anyone sample the goodness. Sometimes you have to wait!
