Grecian Rib Stitch

I don’t know if I have mentioned my love for Purl Bee patterns, but I love them. Often times they are challenging at first, but with time and practice I have completed all that I have tried and loved them all. The latest attempt is the Grecian Rib Scarf. I showed this pattern to my mom along with Madeline Tosh Sport Lolita (I think) and she enjoyed the idea. So although it will not be ready for a while, she knows it is coming so I can post away.

Here are the steps of the Grecian Rib Stitch:

1) Knit into the second stitch on your left needle

2) Pull the second stitch from the left over the first and off the left needle.

3) Knit the first stitch

Keep going until the end of the row! On the reverse side alternate knitting and purling starting with a knit (k1, p1 until the end)

I think the increases were throwing me off in the beginning so if you are including that part of the scarf read the Purl Bee pattern closely.

Happy knitting!
